Single Vineyard Chardonnay 2023
Chardonnay made properly; top-quality grapes, hand-picking, barrel fermentation, wild yeast and plenty of love. Long, complex and packed with creamy deliciousness.
GROWING & MAKING: Chardonnay grown on a mate’s epic vineyard in the heart of Wilyabrup. Hand-picked grapes were gently whole bunch pressed, the cloudy juice was then fermented in French oak using wild yeast. Bright and vibrant with a core of intense stone fruit, lemon curd and oatmeal. A new French barrel forms a quarter of the final blend and adds a subtle hint of vanilla and creamy weight to the palate. Chardonnay done right; complex, long, intense and most importantly delicious.
Unfined, unfiltered; minimal mucking about. Vegan.
