Perfectly ripe Petit Verdot from the Celestial Bay vineyard (where my mate Ryan works). A variety often used for blending, Petit Verdot is big, bold and beautiful (a bit like Ryan); what’s not to love!

Growing & Making: These little bunches of inky goodness were grown at the Celestial Bay Vineyard in Wilyabrup.  This tiny two-barrel batch was gently handled – hand plunged, and basket pressed – before being matured in French oak for sixteen months.  Petit Verdot is a variety that packs in a lot of everything – tannin, acid, colour and most importantly flavour!  Dark cherry, violets, thyme and graphite, accompany firm tannins and long savoury finish.  Built for cold nights, open fireplaces and hearty food! 

Unfined, unfiltered; minimal mucking about. Vegan.
